Building a Community
Employees of Alcoa Mill Products in Danville, Illinois, USA were recognized by local non-profit and government officials for building two homes for Habitat for Humanity of Danville. The executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Danville, Andrew Phillips, and Danville Mayor Scott Eisenhower thanked the Alcoans during a home dedication ceremony attended by more than 100 citizens. The were honored for being the only major support from the corporate community of the surrounding area. A team of 11 Alcoans and their family members volunteered more than 40 hours to build the homes for two local families.
