Alcoa North America Rolled Products Texarkana is committed to conducting its operations in a responsible manner, in accordance with Alcoa EHS Value, Policy and Principles and in order to ensure the continued sustainability and profitability of the Company. As such, NARP-Texarkana is committed to protecting the health and welfare of our workers and the community in which we operate.
The Texarkana Mill will accomplish this through the following commitments:
- To provide a workplace in which employee exposures to potential harmful conditions are identified, controlled and communicated to employees.
- To seek to optimize company efficiency and profitability through the minimization of wastes, emissions, discharges, water consumption, energy consumption and raw material consumption.
- To operate in compliance with federal, state and local regulations applicable to our operations.
To continually improve our environmental management system and environmental performance by:
- Periodically reviewing the environmental impacts of our operations.
- Establishing objectives and targets with a goal towards reducing environmental impacts.
- Periodically measuring progress relative to established objectives and targets.
- Management's periodic review of the effectiveness of the Texarkana Mill's Environmental Management System in achieving the stated goals.
- To communicate, as appropriate, our Environmental Management System and environmental performance with our employees, members of surrounding communities and other interested parties.
- To provide environmental training to all NARP-Texarkana employees relevant to their responsibilities within the operation.
