Up charge increase for Alcoa Flat Rolled Products customers in Europe |

Geneva - February 10, 2008 - During this year European Mill Products (EMP) has been experiencing important cost increases for Manganese, Magnesium and other alloys used in our products; further price increases have been already announced and will be implemented in the coming months.
This consolidated trend is obliging EMP to increase up charges for alloyed products where the Magnesium content is important.
The price review will be applied to the following alloy families:
- Alloy 3xxx
- Alloy 4xxx
- Alloy 5xxx
- Alloy 6xxx
- Alloy 7xxx
- Alloy 8xxx
The magnitude of the increase will be between 10 and 40 Euro/Tons and will be implemented for all new orders confirmed after February 10th.
All existing orders and binding contracts already confirmed before will be honored.
