New FRP Lead Team

Alcoa Chairman Alain Belda announced today that Helmut Wieser, Alcoa Vice President and Group President Mill Products North America and Europe, will lead the new Global Flat Rolled Products Lead Team, which represents Alcoa's combined rolled products businesses with 2.3 million tons of annual shipments, $6.8 billion in revenues, and 18% of the world's market. Joining Helmut on the team are Alcoa executives Joe Muscari (RPD, China, Brazil), Mohammad Zaidi (Technology), and Ric Belda (Russia). This team will share best practices, drive application of the latest technology, and set a global strategy for the company's FRP businesses. In addition, working closely with HR, the team will work on FRP talent management and succession. BU Presidents will participate in the Lead Team upon request, and Tony Thene will have staff accountability for the Lead Team's activities.
